Sheila McCaffrey

Sheila McCaffrey is an executive leadership coach who specializes in supporting clients to improve leadership capabilities and business impact, realize a better sense of personal and professional balance, navigate life and career transitions, and build on their strengths to achieve greater effectiveness and personal fulfillment.

As Founder of Turas Coaching, Sheila’s practice is built on three decades of varied corporate experiences, in a wide range of functional areas. Having worked at both KPMG and Pitney Bowes, Inc, she spent the early years of her career in accounting / audit, and government, community and media relations. These early-in-career experiences included a two year international assignment in Dublin, Ireland, and enabled Sheila to hone her ability to:

  • Analyze business processes and financial results
  • Cultivate critical internal and external relationships
  • Develop communication strategies to support business priorities

In the late 1990s, Sheila transitioned to human resources as chief of staff for the Vice President Human Resources, and since then has held a variety of roles with responsibility for:

  • Attracting, retaining and developing both senior executive and early-in-career high potential talent
  • Managing the organization’s succession management process
  • Developing and managing mentoring, executive coaching & onboarding programs

Sheila’s human resources experience solidified her skills of assessing potential in individuals and identifying personal and professional development opportunities and methods.

Throughout her career, Sheila has earned a reputation as an authentic and energetic leader with a high level of integrity, vision and passion. She is a trusted listener with a warm and compassionate presence. Her coaching clients have found her insightful questions and ability to connect with what matters most, particularly helpful as they work to build resilience, create possibilities and implement practices to increase personal effectiveness and improve business success. Leveraging her personal passions of wellness, wholeness and spirituality, Sheila is frequently sought out to help clients that have become stuck in unhealthy patterns create positive change.

Sheila received a BBA in Accounting and completed post-graduate work in Counseling at Iona College. She holds a graduate certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University, a certificate in Transformational Coaching from Leadership that Works, and is a member of the International Coach Federation. She is certified in the Leadership Circle Profile, Personalysis and the Hogan Assessment Tools.

Sheila lives in Norwalk, CT, where she spends time enjoying her family and her love of hiking, biking, kayaking and yoga.
